NPR Salutes Hip-Hop

All month "News and Notes", a segment on NPR that focuses on the happenings in the black community, has been doing a series on Hip-Hop. Its been pretty good, sometimes the guest have been completely uninformed and out of touch, but most of the time the guest ranging from Ms. Love to the Editor of Complex magazine have been on point. You can listen to all the segments from the last month. NPR is a good look in general, there is a lot of bullshit going on in the world, its smart to be in the know. Holla!

Last Night...

Last night I prayed that God would reveal to me in some form, whether it be dream or sign, what I am suppose to do about a current problem regarding where I am suppose to be and what I should be doing. Now last night I had more than one dream, I think, but the only one I can remember is one in which I consumed a massive amount of mini sausage biscuits from McDonalds. Now, I have not been eating pork for years, so whats up with that. Granted, when I was a little girl my great grandma Love took me and my sister to McDonalds religiously and I used to kill those things, but they were not mini ones. And I woke up with heart burn. ???

America Kills

It makes me so sad, the true, self-less, moral leaders that God has blessed us with have been taken out by this country. Here Bobby speaks of Dr. King's murder, and he is soon to be murdered himself. Its tragic and heart breaking. As much as I would like to see a black president, I fear for his/her life and the life of any others that want revolution and change in this country. I guess I should fear for my own. Pray for our nation.
